The MoD said Russian forces in Bakhmut were "likely fragile but holding for now".Įlsewhere in the Donetsk region, Russian forces are attempting local assaults with "little success" - particularly around Avdiivka. The Donetsk city was captured by pro-Russian forces in May after a months-long battle. Meanwhile, Ukraine is making "significant effort" to try recapturing occupied Bakhmut. In the North East, Russian forces are trying to push west through the forests west of Kreminna.
